Lisa and Pedro just came back from a stay abroad and meet in Coimbra to share their feelings about their fantastic experience and the resulting benefits. Pedro attended an ERASMUS program in London, the city of red busses and Big Ben. Lisa worked as an intern in a wood design agency in Toronto. Beyond huge improvement of language skills, they feel lucky and list three of the most important benefits of their experience in England and Canada.
1. WORLD IN YOUR HANDS
During my study abroad, I got the chance to learn a different style of education and to explore the culture, customs, habitats, landscapes, cities and much more of the country. Best was meeting people from the industry.
Networking possibilities are great. I will definitely be back in London!
2. FRIENDS FOR LIFE
Our experience abroad was unique. We feel much richer now thanks to additional knowledge, a wider perspective and many new friends from England and Canada and also from North and South America, Asia and Africa.
It is great to get to know people from all over the world and learn about their culture.
3. INTERNATIONAL CAREER
Working as an intern in a wood design agency in Toronto made me open my eyes and become more confident in my abilities. I also developed my creativity and my feeling for wood and its emotional impact on people. My employer gave me a reference letter for an international design agency in Porto.
A wonderful professional opportunity!
